One Day. One Mission. Saturday, November 7.

We’re asking God to ignite a prayer movement in America’s apartment communities. Will you join us?

Preparation

  • PRAY for God to reveal who to invite to pray with you. Pray through your family, contacts, small group, coworkers, etc. Reach out to a few people to invite them to join you.
  • Look at a map of apartments in your area. Pray for each of them and seek God about which one(s) to prayerwalk on National Apartment PrayerWalk Day.
  • Meet to pray and plan with those who will prayerwalk with you. Pray God will prepare people for Gospel conversations. Create a follow-up plan for any contacts that you make during the prayerwalk. We encourage all follow-up to be gender-specific – males following up with males, females following up with females.
  • Gather supplies: pens and notecards.
Preregister so we’ll know to be praying for your team! Text “NAPD2026” to 615-380-6215.

PrayerWalk – Saturday, November 7

  • Carpool. Park near the leasing office.
  • PRAY. As you walk slowly through the apartment community, pray for what you see – management office, each individual living behind each door, cars (bumper stickers), toys, etc. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He sees, to break spiritual strongholds, and to prepare hearts for spiritual conversations.
  • When you interact with management, workers, and residents:
    • Let them know you are there to pray for their apartment community and ask if they have any specific requests. Whether they are receptive, rude, or cautious – let all you do and say show the love God has for them and the hope of the Gospel.
    • PRAY out loud for them right then. Afterward, ask if it would be ok to follow up with them to continue getting updates and praying for them. If so, have them write their name and contact info on one of the cards.
    • As the Spirit leads, take opportunities for Gospel conversations. If one person in the group is having a Gospel conversation, the others should pray silently with eyes open.
  • At the end of the prayerwalk, debrief as a group. Write down all of the names and requests so you can continue praying (even for those you do not have contact info for). Also write down how many prayerwalkers attended, the total number of people your team prayed for, and any God moments that happened so that you can share the info with CItyLife.

Follow Up

  • Make contact with those you prayed for within a week to get updates and to continue Gospel conversations. Stay connected, keep praying, and see what God does!
  • Fill out the report for CityLife.
  • Decide as a group if you are willing to continue praying for the apartment(s) for one year. If so, sign up to Adopt an Apartment.
